Graduation gift dilemma: is cash best?
Spring nibbles at our calendar for real... which means graduation ceremonies cropping up all over campuses in the next few weeks. Many years ago... I remember receiving jewelry, and cash, and jewelry, and books, and jewelry, and more cash... and you know what? I still have the jewelry (most of it) and books, but I could not begin to tell you who gave me how much money--though it was appreciated at the time. So. What do you want to be remembered for three, five, ten years from now? You can commemorate a graduation with cash and it will be appreciated, but you might think about something more personal-- like jewelry... or a book... (I know a good one.)
